Organising an exhibition!!!

So alot has happened over the holidays, the most exciting of which is the news that I have been asked by a friend who goes to Manchester Met to organise a show with him of design and illustration work (including our own). The show will be 5 students' work from his course vs./combined with 5 students' work from BA graphics that I've chosen. This will take place 1 week in Manchester and 1 week in Leeds. The start date will hopefully be the last friday of term before we break up for Easter. I've been tracking down potential venues and I have to fill out a proposal form for an organisation called Art In Unusual Spaces who find spaces in unused shop units in the centre of Leeds that artosts can hold exhbibitions in for free. This is very exciting but also scary! I have also organised my designers: Vickie Simpson, Liam Hine, Ian Prentice and Kate Dyer... this is based on their illustration and design pieces and hopefully their work ethic. There are many others i would of liked to chose but we set out some strict rules as to how many we could use at the beginning of trying to organise this. I've also asked Amber to help and she's contacting a few people she knows about potential spaces this week, so we'll see how it goes.
